Thanks! It would take significant rewriring to do this. You would have to develop and implement the logic open and close the flap. Not worth it.

That hose is a combination crancase vent and oil drainback.

I presume your S38rebuild Airbox.....htm is an E34 M5 dual-length intake plenum ? Does that plenum retrofit onto the older E28 and E24 M's or would a complete rewiring be required?
