Bentley's explains this procedure in detail in Chapter 18. Buy yourself a Bentley's manual and save yourself the money. Definitely a DIY project. Shouldn't take more than a few hours. I've been in there before. You might not even need to buy any new parts. Might just need adjusting. Check it out before you take it to the dealer.

My drivers side (duh) door lock has stopped double locking this week. Over the course of 2-3 days, it became difficult to turn the key into the double lock position. Now the key wont turn into the double lock position at all. 2 other keys also fail. Key(s) work fine in other locks. Double locking just doesn't work.

I have been double locking the car every single time, since i bought it over a year ago.

Dealer says about 90 to et a new drivers lock cylinder, and about 2.5 hours of labour. Labour mostly involves removing the inside door panel and replacing the lock mechanism.

This sounds like a DIY job. Anyone done a lock replacement before ? And anyone hav ecomments on double locking failures ?

Thanks,
Matt
