The Euro headers bolt right up to the head no problem. The difference is the connection to the rest of the exhaust system. The US system has a 2-bolt flange, the Euro headers a 3-bolt flange and a slip-coupling. You can buy 3-bolt flanges from Fahey or Korman to modify the exhaust system. Don't mess with the headers, they're worth more unmolested. As for power, they will make more power. How much more is unknown, though.
I may aquire factory headers from an 87-88? M6. Does anyone know if they will bolt on to stock cat or test pipes? Have met with several pros and cons of installing them. Mechanic says they never fit properly and power gain is negligible. Others say power/torque increase is significant and engine sound is much more aggressive. Any suggestions? Thanks
