528 shocks on M5? (archive)

I need to change the shocks on my 88M5 real bad. I found a friend who has some slightly used e28 528 bilstein sport shocks that I can buy real cheap. Will these work on my M5? I already removed my self leveling system, and have a set of H&R springs ready to go on with these shocks.

Will that work?
