Interested in finding out where everyone's mixture screws are set (how many turns out from full tight/rich). Especially interested in those people who know their mixture is set right, and who know their AFM spring has never been messed with. The few I have info about were in the 3.5-5.5 turns out range. Anyone?

Reason is I have been messing with my AFM spring as I suspect it was loosened by a PO. I had to put screw out 9 turns to get idle mixture right. I have since tightened spring two notches, which now requires screw be about 5 turns out, which I think is more normal. Car seems to run better in general.

Todd,
Mine is currently set at 5.25 turns.
I kept track of the tune-up settings over the last 11 years.
The range has been from 4 - 5.25 turns from the bottom stop. I have always used an averaging volt meter to set the CO screw.
Reads like you are getting your drivebility problems sorted out.
