1. I'm using the stock exhaust system and air cleaner, maybe a K & N drop-in.

2. I live in California and must pass smog.

3. I like low end torque, not ultra high rpm redline... unless I'm passing ; - )

4. Don't really want to change my cam gears, but will if it's a must.


Ethan, I have a Dinan Chip, cam gear, and a stock exhaust with no converter. I also have a K&N drop in but my air box has about 10, 1/2" holes drilled in front. When I initially installed the chip, I didn't notice much of a difference except for higher red line. But after the cam gear.....wow! I really felt the change by the seat of my pants! My friend and his IROC Z was also surprised! You will never go back to stock after the cam gear mod! Lots of bottom end grunt, that our cars don't have much off stock. It also passes smog (with cat on) in CA>
