I do not think they are all the same....but anyway you can get one from most dealers. I bought mine from circle bmw.

Hi all,

Anyone know a good source for the original E28M5 shifter knob? Also, I heard somewhere that the first M5s had just the //M logo on the knob with no gate pattern. Can anyone confirm this?
