If you're talking about an E28 M5, there are no remote (+) terminals that are easily accessible. I'm sure there's one near the firewall, but I haven't gone digging around enough. It would not be suitable for jump-starting, either. You can run a large gauge wire from the (+) terminal on the starter and mount a contact somewhere convenient. I just might do that.

Also, the E28 coolant system has no bleeder that I can find.

I did find that the bleed nipple off the thermostat housing (small hose) was clogged with grey sealant from the PO who was too cheap to buy 2 new o-rings. Clean that out if your system is showsing signs of air bubbles. Also, any kind of Stop Leak will clog return lines pretty effectively if enough is used. Go to the dealer and buy a meter of 8x13mm hose if you suspect any of the lines are clogged.

Also, that 4-way plastic T-fitting on the small return lines will break when you try to pull hoses off. Save yourself some time (and a headache) and order one of these in advance. I broke mine and had to solder up a custom fitting from copper tube.

Hello all. New to the board. Can someone tell me where I can find the remote + terminal in the engine bay? Also, where's the coolant system bleeder valve? Car's manual and Chilton's say both are next to each other on the right side of heater bulkhead, but I must be blind. Thanks.
