1. Windshield gasket- This is the problem with mine. I'm getting a new windshield and gasket on Wednesday. I'm replacing the windshield because it's pitted and there are a couple of bulls eyes. Windshield, gasket, locking strip, and labor= $240.00
2. Clogged sunroof drains. There are four of them, two are near the front and two are in the rear (one in each corner) of the sunroof tray. They drain into the rocker panels near the wheel wells on the bottom of the car. If you get under the car, you will see some louvered looking holes under the door frame, these are the outlets and sometimes they get clogged. If you pour a cup of water into the tray sides (sunroof open and from the top), you should see it drain freely out of the bottom. If it does drain, then it's probably your windshield gasket. If it doesn't drain, try to clean out the outlet holes with a pick tool. If you think the drainpipes are clogged, you can run an electricians fish wire down the drain. I've never done this and if the fish wire gets stuck, your screwed, but I heard that it works great.
Good luck,
Ethan
Ok. I know I've read about this before and I didn't pay much attention at the time. Doh.
After a month of torrential rain in seattle, it seems that the drivers side floor is wet. Real wet. The floormat is soaked, so is the carpet under it.
Never noticed the problem before, because this is the first winter the car has seen without a carport.
But I dont like that my feet land in moist floormat everytime I get in it. passenger side is dry. Haven't checked rear drivers side seat.
There appears to be some moisture getting in the trunk as well. I'm not nearly as concerned about fixing that as I am the drivers floor - which has been moist for over 1 week continuously. :(
