It does seem to happen when the car is getting low on fuel. I haven't changed the fuel filter yet, I've only had the car a couple of months, I'll have to check it soon. How is a fuel cell different from a tank?

I'm pretty sure this happens to everyone when there is less than a 1/4 tank. This is one of the reasons track cars have a "fuel cell". It could also be a bad fuel pump, there are two. When was the last time you changed your fuel filter?


Sometimes under hard acceleration my car will stutter as if it wasn't getting enough fuel, it happens suddenly, then power returns quickly. What would cause this?
