What can cause violent shaking of front wheels when cornering? If I enter the corner very smoothly, the effect is lessend. It happens especially on rougher roads when entering tight corners, but is fine on smooth roads, or gradual corners even at higher speed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Here they are in order of likelyhood: Bad shock, bad thrust arm bushings or thurst arm balljoint, bad tie rod, idler arm, and/or center track rod.
A warped brake rotor is not very likely unless it shakes while you're braking.
Does it only shake when making right turns, left turns, or both? On or off the brakes? Trail braking?
