I am having problems witht the ride level control. The car regulates the system at weird times. It raises and drops sitting at the stoplight. any suggestions...?

I have had my M6 occasionally do the same thing. My accumulators are in good condition.
The accumulators provide a constant pressure to the shock and a reservoir for the shocks.
The diagnosis for a failed accumulator is a bouncy ride because the shocks become rigid when the accumulator nitrogen bladder has failed.

I would assume the Self Leveling System switch box (mercury switches and pump control electronics) is cycling. Since I have yet to obtain a schematic for the switch box I am unable to advise you of all the functions within.
If you have lowered your car and/or replaced the sway bar it is possible the SLS is operating under the low oil pressure point and that the system is attempting to re-pressurize, diagnose and test the SLS limits. You could do nothing and see if it goes away or reset the swaybar lever arm to raise the vehicle slightly and increase the system internal pressure.
