The e34 header is made for the varable intake & is tuned special for it.The e34header will not fit without major mods to your e21 or e28 car.been there done that.
i have an m635 and a us e34 m5. having never removed the headers, in the car they appear to be the same. i believe the e34 euro m5 has an even hotter header. If you where to build one, I would check into the possibility of using the e34 header.

If you find a euro e34 count me in. I will order one or possibly two.
