I have no experiance with Modern Performance but have been running Split Second for the last 2 years on my 88 M6. I set the 4 signal conditioner rheostats on the recommended settings and the motor ran as smooth or smoother than the AFM from the first start. Dyno'd the car on a Dynojet and hp at wheels peaked at 252. Allowing 15% drive train loss, comes out to 296 crank hp at 6800 rpm. Hp and torque curves are smooth and progressive. Air/Fuel ratio dropped down to 12.8 from 14.7 and remained straight line.
I have toyed around with differant settings but always end up back at the recommended setting. The system came with excellant instructions and tech help is very good. I highly recommend the Split Second.
