Just recieved lightened flywheel from MM. (more) (archive)

Looks great, so does the clutch. After much haggling with Jim Roe, we were able to knock the price down on the clutch and in the end he threw in Viton seals for the rear engine main, front trans, rear trans, shifter seal, and clutch alignment tool. MM is also taking two flywheels back, one as the "core", and one as credit (saved more$) (I have an extra flywheel from my parts car).

The quality of the parts is excellent, but they forgot to send the pilot & throw out bearings.

My list of NEW parts for the upcoming clutch day:

-Lightened flywheel
-Lightened clutch disk
-Lightened pressure plate
-Flywheel bolts
-Pressure plate bolts
-Clutch release fork
-Pivot pin
-Throw out bearing
-Pilot bearing
-Rear engine main seal
-Front trans seal, but I probably won't replace due to the fact that Jim says it's probably fine. He also say that the journal where the seal sits is self draining (back into the tranny). Also, he says this seal is shimmed in under pressure.
-Rear trans seal
-Shifter seal
-Exhaust flange gaskets

Parts involved that have recently been replaced, that I don't need:

-Clutch master
-Clutch slave
-Clutch soft line
-Guibo
-Center bearing
-Rebuilt drive shaft w/ replaceable U-joints
-Short shift kit
-Exhaust hangers (doughnuts)

I'm also doing a tranny swap. I have a Getrag 280 with low miles sitting under my house, waiting to go in.
