The chip should not have done anything bad unless you exposed the ECU to a static electricity charge or something. The crank sensor is actually very likely the cause, can't believe I didn't think of it. There was an M5 in my mechanic's shop a little while back with this problem. No start, bad position sensor (or maybe it was actually the little stud that the sensor reads).

I'm still stuck, but I have it narrowed down to a bad crank position sensor or fried ECU.
I'll find out in the morning i guess
Does anyone think my new JC chip could have killed my board?????

My guess is that's not it, since he couldn't get anything to happen w/ starter fluid = no spark.
have you checked for spark? like putting a screwdriver in it and placing it against the valve cover. with my problem, i was getting spark.

had this happened to me like 2 weeks ago. car would turn but acted like no gas. it turned out that main pump just died. if your problem seems like a fuel issue, you could also have a clogged fuel filter.
