I've read that these solder joints are a problem in ANY Motronic box in the 80s. Bad solder joints cause a host of problems like poor economy, poor driveability, low power, etc. Those transistor leads are some of the most common bad solder joints in the box.Tip to anyone with electronics experience: Resolder these with good silver-based solder. It conducts better than the cheaper tin/lead stuff, and is best for sensitive electronics. Available from Radio Shack.
Glad to hear you got your problem fixed, Ken!
