Hey Rob (fellow Lexington-er)-

Best as I can tell from the ETK, the motors are as follows:

horizantal - 52 10 1 382 950
vertical front - 52 10 1 377 124
vert rear - 52 10 1 377 044
backrest - 52 10 1 377 043

You need to test current, with probes hooked up in line, not voltage. No idea what spec is, but if one draws noticeably more current, it might be the bad one.

Only service manual in Bentley, doesn't cover M5 but has all the shared E28 stuff. Only other choice is factory repair manual, which is around $170 if I remember.

I am new to the list but I have some restoring to do on the interior of my E28 M5. Besides the cracked dash that I can live with the passenger seat keeps blowing control units need to check voltage from seat motors but I really need the seat motors parts numbers to order. If anyone has the motors part numbers I would appreciate it. Also, I was looking for a the consensus opinion of service manuals for these cars.
thanks
bob
