its faster because its smoother. no synchro lag, no engine lag, no tires skidding for a high rpm downshift.

yes, on my e12, i downshifted at high rpms without double clutching. the ground was wet. the rear end came around until i pushed the clutch back in.


Rent the movie Bullet with Steve Mcqueen (spelling?). Throughout the famous car chase scene between a Challenger R/T and I believe a 66 Mustang fastback Steve (in the Mustang) is double clutching. Sounds awesome !

I have to try this some time although I highly doubt that it is faster then a straight shift. Especially with short-shift kit installed.
