The polished Throwing Stars had clearcoat over the polish. Don't even think about having a polished wheel without clearcoat! Also, only the rim lip and horizontal portion was polished whereas on the painted Stars the lip, horizontal portion AND the adjacent vertical portion are painted silver. The wheels are a pain to refinish because of the three separate pieces and the center only being plastic. The next time I would powdercoat the entire wheel (including spokes) and Star and then get matching standard paint for the plastic center.
