Just checked out a 540i 6-sp with 111k miles for $16k. Nikasil block though. The E34 M5s are around $18-20k.

Also, the 1995 E36 M3s are down to around $17k with 70-80k miles. Another good option, IMHO, and a different experience from the E28.

Well the car is gone looking into another one or get another 535is or even a 95 540i sport 6 speed. I still have a lot of parts for the M5 that I wanted to install on the new one or the 535is but this 540i sport for the money sounds good. The block was replaced already so thats a relief, but would like the euro goodies and parts to make it an M540i
