This is a great photo taken just before going to work, the morning sun is hiding all sins on this car (except the front spoiler).
The next post has some detailed shots of things I'll need to address. To date I've put about 5k into the car, purchase price was 6k with $800 shipping to get it from Colorado to Los Angeles. Had I known everything I know now about what can go wrong on these cars, especially if they've been neglected, I would have bought one Armando owns now. I saw it online but passed due to the cost.
When I'm done I will easily have invested 15k +
One thing though, the adventure so far has been great. I love working on a rare car and better yet love to see people's faces when they get passed by an old boxy BMW. I actually thought I would get more people making comments on the car, how rare it is and so on. I've come to realize that the vast majority understands very little as to the model, its heritage and rarity. Just another BMW box.
Lastly, I couldn't have gotten as far as I have without the help of this board. There is a ton of knowledge in this group. Thanks for all the help to date.
