Petaluma is officially the "Chicken Capital Of The World". The only thing that you can legally throw out your car window here is chicken feathers. It's an actual law! ... go figure.

Where are you located, So-Cal?

Ethan,

Do ask me why...I thought you were somewhere back east. Where is Petaluma?

Any how, good luck with your project!, I would have love to come out to help. Maybe on the next uh...

Armando

Wish me luck, I'm trying for a four hour turn around. If anyone is going to be around Petaluma, CA., you're welcome to stop by.

Got the E36 M3 shifter and all new bushings today.

My list of NEW parts (and tools) for the upcoming clutch day:

Snap-on E10, E12, and E14 swivel Torx. This will be my third e28 trans removal and I've always wished for swivel Torx sockets. My treat to my self!

-Lightened flywheel (MM)
-Lightened clutch disk (MM)
-Lightened pressure plate (MM)
-Flywheel bolts
-Pressure plate bolts
-Clutch release fork
-Pivot pin
-Throw out bearing
-Pilot bearing
-Rear engine main seal (Viton from MM)
-Rear trans seal (Viton from MM)
-Shifter seal (Viton from MM)
-Exhaust flange gaskets
-Rubber shift boot
-E36 M3 shifter
-Redline ATF

Parts involved that have recently been replaced, that I don't need:

-Clutch master
-Clutch slave
-Clutch soft line
-Guibo
-Center bearing
-Rebuilt drive shaft w/ replaceable U-joints
-Exhaust hangers (doughnuts)

Also, I plan to lap the clutch disk and input shaft spline for a perfect fit. I've read that this will yeald a smoother feeling clutch... we'll see.

If anyone can think of anything else I'll need... don't bother saying.... it's too late : - )
