My goal was four hours; I did it in 6, including a trip to the store to get locktite and lunch. Wow, my old transmission was SHOT! The new box feels right and tight, the new Metric Mechanic flywheel and clutch are great, and the new e36 M3 shifter feels neat... It's a whole new beast. While I was at it, I lapped the clutch disk and input shaft spline- My clutch feels like a rice rocket clutch... smooth as butter... a baby could press this thing down.

The MM flywheel and clutch came out to be exactly 4 lbs. lighter (according to my moms baking scale) than the stock assembly is. I definitely notice the difference. Hit the throttle and bam, the R’s go soaring. Too bad I never got to a dino, I'm sure I picked up some HP and quickened my potential 0-60 time, how much I do not know, but it's very noticeable.
