I'm just saying that they happen to like the newer software because of its features, and those (like yourself) who aren't inclined to curse anyway, don't have a problem with the fact that a few 4-letter words get turned into "oops".

If you write a letter with those words to the Roundel, do you think they will publish it? Free speech in the constitutional sense is a lofty ideal, but it doesn't exist in private places like theaters, restaurants, magazines, or even internet sites. We try to let people be very free in what they have to say and just ask that they not cross the line into obscene drivel, that's all.

To answer your question about why I am replying to you, it is because I care about the opinions of everyone on the site no matter what they drive. No, we don't get much money at all from sponsors who cater to cars like the regular E28 or E28 M5. Frankly, those boards are a net drain on us--they cost us more to host than we will ever make in sponsorship dollars off of vendors who want to sell to them. Most vendors care about the newer BMWs and want to spend their advertising dollars there. The reason these boards exist for older BMWs is strictly because we want them to and we don't mind that they cost more than they will ever bring in. We want them to exist for enthusiasts like you, that's all.
