Chips for the M5 are the best bang for the buck of any BMW. And Conforti makes the best chip. After that get the best tires you can afford. I use AVS Sports, but there are better tires available. Last, improve the nut behind the wheel! Spend your money on driving schools and autocrosses. Don't do the other upgrades until they are part of repairs or maintenance.

I have only had my M5 for a couple weeks. My thoughts:Conforti chip(had one in my 535is liked very much no problems),cam gear Dinan?(don't know much about this/keeps exhaust valve open little longer uping performance.?.?),I have always been of the school of thought, that after market air cleaners are not a good thing(noisey & introduce contamination into expensive engine)I was surprised, that my mechanic recomended this for the M5,while poopooing it in the past(your thoughts???),B&B Tri-Flo exhaust(my car has new stock exhaust/perhaps in several years as needed/quieter is better, when driving like Steve McQueen on public roadways),Bilstein sports are the existing shocks,I may buy a set of 540 brakes from my neighbor. I'm sure some of you could respond with a book ,as long as "War & Peace".Please take the time to let me know your personal experience & thoughts.Thank you Chris
