Armando,

Your car has a factory conversion kit that has Bilstiens heavy duty, stock large diameter springs (same as M5 stock) and spring cups to fit standard skocks. All factory part numbers. Bekkers sold it for under 500.00. You can do this same conversion with parts from bavarian autosport and use your stock springs and save big bucks. Problem was, the car sat 10-20mm toolow on the second shock ring. So I gave you a extra new set of custom grooved Bilstien HD's to raise things up.
The other way is to use smaller diameter 535 springs and cups with standard shocks.IMHO Bilstien sports are too harsh for just street driving. HD fronts and either SLS or HD's in the rear.
Now, as for keeping the SLS, If you not tracking the car and just using it for agressive driving,I recommend keeping it if you can aford the $$ to replace the parts. All around, the factory spring rates and ride was a good set up. 500.00 for new shocks, 250-300.00 for new accumlators and your pump and other components should be fine. It's really cool to be able to load up the car and keep the ride height. It was just a matter of expense when the car was ready for a second replacement set of accumlators, I decided to swap for standard shocks.
Now, you can keep the 1,000.00 bucks- spend it on other things and install the new HD's I gave you. You can spend the bucks for go fast, lower and agressive springs and shocks however, the car stock is more than most people can handle.

and
I know a lot of you have eliminated the SLS and gone for H&R springs and Bilsteins Sports or HDs.

Mine was replaced with a kit from Bekkers, however, I am not sure what constituded the kit. I think Maximillians stated that they use the Euro springs on their kit to elimanate the SLS?

Everything else still on the car and I am wondering if it would be worth it to restore the SLS.

I would like to hear the pros and cons...

Thanks,

Armando
