As the previous owner of this car, I could say.... (archive)

I could say that it would be a big mistake to sell it. The ONLY reason I sold this car to Tim was so I could buy a low mileage, perfect example of a Euro M535i. The Euro M535i has the high compression motor and c/r dogleg trans. It is gorgeous and the second I saw it, I had to have it... That left me with the M5 and M535i. One had to go.. Tim offered to buy it. I would not have sold it to anyone else.. Now, I am not trying to guilt Tim into keeping it because I sold it to him. All I can say is that it is most likely one of the finest examples of an E28 M5 out there. Sure the mileage is high at about 167,000 or whatever it is.. But in the time I owned it, I replaced:Clutch (Entire Clutch Assembly)
All Seals On Trans & Rear Main Seal
ENTIRE front end (Struts, Every Link and Bushing)
Dogbones
Plugs
Cap & Rotor
Misc Interior pieces
Foglights
I don't remember the rest.. But all that alone cost quite a bit on money.. The car needs nothing.. Runs like new. Pulls like a freight train. If Tim sold it to buy a 1988 535is. He would have to spend $7000-$8000 to find a 535is in the same condition as the M5. That would leave him with a nice 535is and $2000-$2800 cash. I don't think that works.. The E28 M5 is a car that some of us take for granted. It is the first true 4-Door flagship from BMW.. If you were a rich man in 1987 and wanted the best BMW sedan, this was it.. It is still the most desirable of all BMWs. (Z1 and M1 excluded).. I am rambling.. But all I have to say is, there is only one #2875366. Hang onto it!
