and out's" of dealing with a "totalled" car....my m3 was hit, and was totalled for the insurace companies convenience...........they refuse to let me buy back the car. The damage was minor, but still added up to $4,700. They say it is totalled with a book value of $6,100. I let them know that the only way I would settle is to fix the car. I offered to settle for $4 grand and I would fix the car......they refuse and ask me constantly where the car is so they can pick it up. I told them I would use it as a planter before you take my car....they have "upped" their offer twice not to a "whopping" $7,000. I will now have to consult my lawyer....If they would just let me buy it back everything would be fine!!!
