Mine was missing also. With all the engine vibration, the metal fatigues and it breaks off at the two mounting points. I added a third mounting point using a small picture frame angle bracket and mounted it to an extra mount on the back of the compressor. Sorry, don't have a pic.

I've seen a fair bit of info about this shield and that it eventually starts to rattle. many cars have it removed. The result is an A/C compressor that shuts off in hot weather.
Mine was gone, and I boutht a new one. but now I dont know where it attaches. The dealer microfiche is not so helpful.
Its not as obvious as you may think, maybe I am missing a mounting bracket? if anyone in inclined to snap a photo and send it... I would be very thankful
