Matt, yes sounds like the accumlicators. Try Bekkers in Georgia or BMA in Glendale, Ca. Last time I paid around 150.00 each.

So yesterday i bought 3 liters of Pentosin 7.1.

Today I topped off the SLS resivoir. Put the ignition in run.

Nothing.

Got under the car, started moving the ride height adjuster around.

Nothing.

Got out the multimeter. Started checking voltages. 12v between inlets and pump housing. Hrmm. Whats that grey relay down there. Pull relay. Hrmm.. im no expert at testing this relay, but the outer circuit never closes, powered or unpowered. I wonder if i have a replacement.

Sure enough, the horn and high beam relays have the same pinout and ratings as the SLS pump relay. So i swap them, turn on the ignition, and after a few seconds i hear the awful groaning of the pump, and car pumps up about 6 inches. oops, better readjust that ride height :)

Problem is, i think i have shot accumulators. The car moves up and down quite quickly, and it cant quite decide where it wants to sit under driving. Also, its nearly impossible to get the rideheight correct.. You move the thing, wait a while, and it goes up 4 inches. Tap it back the other way, it sinks 5. Tap it back up, it raises 6. Its a real PITA to adjust, so this sounds like worn accums.

Aren't these $259 new, per side ? Anyone got a line on cheaper accumulators ?

Thanks,
Matt
