quick answer:

Well, yes, if you only increased the stroke you would break the squareness of the bore and stroke. But, once you bore a few sizes over, lighten the pistons a hundred grams, boost the compression ratio up to 10.4:1, lighten the cod rods a little, and balance and blueprint... then you are square again, but up 250cc's or so and with a higher compression ratio. More HP, more torque.

I read somewhere that that made the M motor "square" (stroke vs. bore) to keep the high RPM abitly. That I belive that was Mr. Faherry (spl?) argurement to raise the rpm cut-off and rebuild the crank hub. So by stroking our motor, we would break the "squarness" and potentially lose some high rpm abity at the gain of all around HP and the tourqe would come on at a lower rpm too. Does anyone know what the dimentions of the euro 3.8 are?
