I got a DieHard International #31249 from Sears for about $100. They do not list that battery for this car but the PO had put that model in and it lasted 6 yrs...Battery is same size (big) with plenty amps but the vent hose has an oval connector and needs to be modified to attach it. Which I didn't do. Works fine.

Anyone has a cross reference number for a battery?? Mine just died, it is manufactured by Douglas Battery for BMW has the following part # 61 218 353 442 and ETK lists it as used in E34 (530,535,540) and E32 (735,740,750, M5). Any other more domestic manufacturers??
