well this weekend i replace the evaporator temp sensor and regulator. both parths where inside the center console. not that hard to replace but you need patience.
after replacing part, my a/c compressor turned on. which was so exciting, but then i notice its not getting cold. i then added 2 cans of gas and boy is it cold now.
but here is the problem. when i turn on the a/c, doesnt matter the temp i set it at, the compressor cylces on for about a minute and a half and the turns off for about a minute. during this time, only regular air comes out, and in 96 degree weather, the air comes out hot.
what sensor or part can be causing my a/c to do this. can it be my compressor. or can it be my hi-low pressure switch.
thanks

Is the heat shield on the A/C.My A/C doesn't work & was told this was a strong possibility.
