If you can get a letter from BMW NA that the car was built to US EPA/DOT specs you can import it without much fuss... just notify customs and make an arrangement to have the car inspected at the border and pay the duty.

If you don't have BMW NA blessing then you'll have to go through a RI. Go here for the listings. Good luck!
