M5's started in 1985... That car could have been an M5 for sure.. Some people did put the M-Tec wheels on their M5's (Dont ask why).. Turns out this was just a beat up M535i (It did have the high compression motor, but was beat). I think the E28 M5 was launched in Europe around the end of 84 or 85. It took until 1987 (M.Y. 1988) for the US to get it.. We got black.. The rest of the world got any color.
