sorry 'bout the prior blank post - hit the enter key too soon.

Has anyone installed a UUC short shifter? I mean actually installed it, not just have one in your car.

If so, did you need to remove the exhaust/drive shaft for any portion of the installation? I was planning to replace the carrier bushings and pin, but I don't think it's actually possible without taking the transmission out first.

Actually, I think my car must have had a short shifter in it when I bought it because the shifter that came with the UUC kit is actually about 1/2 inch longer than my current shifter. It has a lot of slop in it now though so I am replacing it.

If anyone has suggestions for the carrier bushings, let me know.
