Is that hex bolt 15 or 17 mm, on a bracket? I vaguely remember a stern warning on some web page about that bolt having threads thru into the timing base and often being the cause of leaks that look like head gasket leaks. I would pull that bolt out and put thread sealer on it before proceeding...sorry I can't provide a link or facts.

Todd, sounds like similar leaks. Mine leaks along the front of the block right around that middle hex bolt. I lose about a quart every 3k. How long has yours been leaking? What kind of goodys do I need to test my compression or should I have it done somewhere?
