I called Dinan when I first got my 535i (this was Oct, 00), I was interested in their turbo kit for it. The Dinan rep and myself ended up playing phone tag due to our schedules, but he called me back EVERY time and I eventually got him on the line one afternoon. He was more than happy to help me turbo my E28 535i - even trying to source the parts for it, even though they are NLA, and referred me to the local Dinan dealer in Tampa FL who could help me with the installation.

Overall, it was a sterling experience - I was very impressed. Is this unusual?

I called Dinan and asked if I could have a badge for the M5 and they said no. They told me I had to prove the car has a Dinan turbo on it first. What a bunch of shmucks.
