Awesome story !
If you do come across blueprints I'm sure you can get everyone on this board to pitch in for copies. Would make a great wall mount. I believe one can take just about any drawing format and have it turned into a blue scale print. This can be done at a number of print shops that deal with architects and construction companies.
How fast is 250 Km anyway ? The mind blower in this story is that in Europe they feel sooo relaxed over 100 mph that they have no problem setting her on CRUISE. Unbelievable, I get all twitchy everytime I approach 90mph. But then again I live in Los Angeles.

I work for a car parts maker that is trying to get into business with BMW.
The manager of their foundry at Landshuut, arrived today for a visit.
One of our VPs asked for a cool BMW to pick him up in. I said me me me. So I polished all night and gave the M5 to the VP.. ( careful of the rims and my clutch please!)
he picked up the guy and after he sat in it and heard the engine (remember German M5s are not all black) he asked with a huge grin "is this an M5?"
The entire meeting was corrupted with him loving the car.
he had a couple of funny things to say/
He was the guy who had acutally made the mould for many engine parts for the M5, he specifically remembers doing the Valve cover. It was so cool at that time. Our VP commented that he was not sure how to open the hood and he was not sure how clean it is under there. THe BMW guy just said in a great accent " I think that every M5 must have a clean engine - lets go see" There you have it from the top guys, keep her clean! off we went to take a look. He promised to see if he could get some original blue prints of the engine for me!!!
He also said that his drive to work is 97km and he set a recent short time in a new M3 - 29 minutes. he said at 5:00 in the morning, he just sets the cruise at 250 km/h!!!
Great day, thought I would share it with you.
