Josh:

Note that the Euro engine has different compression. Different pistons. That will be about $1000-1800/set depending on source.

For $4500 you could get an E34 M5 motor and throw that in and have a 'native' 311HP SAE with all the other upgrades that came along with it.

I will have a complete list as to what the mechanic is going to do/replace tomorrow, but he quoted me 4K for refreshing the entire engine. Are there any performance hop ups I can do that are reasonably priced while he is in there? I would like to have 300 or so HP.. what does it take to get that?

FYI - It will have a 1 year, 12,000 mile warranty for any problems engine related.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Josh
