Now, finding one who's willing to work on a piece-meal 14 year old bimmer might just come back to bite you in the tuccus one day. Some may feel I'm speaking out of ignorance (can't say they're wrong), but my feeling is if you want an M-car, buy a real one. If you want some MIT grad's science project, make sure the MIT grad comes with the car in case something goes wrong. And for $13,500, you're well in the range of finding a really nice original M5. Also, does anyone know if there'd be any trouble importing this car to the U.S. from Canada? (assuming you live in the U.S.)Just my $.02 (probably more like $.04). Good luck!

Hope you never looked back Tim. i am actually now looking at Jan's Hybrid in Montreal.He says the M powerplant has just over 60,000 miles on it and everything between it and the body was replaced in 98. wanna give me your .02 cents worth on it ?Chris
