Hey I wrote a nice story about a BMW guy loving our cars. The story was so show you how cool our cars are to those who know better. I added a mention about high speed driving for fun.
I do not accept speed kills; although funny to say, it is the sudden stop that does the killing.
The reason the Americans have adopted this warped mentality of speed kills, is because 99% of drivers are absolutely bad at driving. Have you been to a really busy shopping centre? Even at parking speeds people crash all over the place. It is beacuse they are bad drivers not because of the speed. They dont die in the malls because it is slow crashing - fair enough - but the problem is not speed.
I lived in Europe, the people are better drivers, real skill at operating the controls. Even in the parking lots, there is less than half the space top manoevre, and they park faster and then rarely crash. The highways are TWICE as fast and everyone follows the rules. There is no passing on the right, and no road rage.

Lets work on the real problem. Lets see every M5 driving safely and quickly. Lets write about the problems on our roadways and propose solutions that make life better. Speed kills is just riduculous BS.

Now for a second of my work related ranting on the same topic. We manufacture light weight car parts. we have had a big slow down in sales dure to the corrupt american industry. Steel mills are such big business that they have convinced the government that light weight kills too. Somehow the american public has been conviced that big SUV and trucks is safer due to sheer weight.

ISAAC Newton is rolling over in his grave. It is wrong, weight is the enemy of us all when we are behind the wheel. But the American "right to drive a car" and "right to cheap gas" and from lower post "right to waste R12" is a warped existance. We have the right to free speach that is fair, but the right to break the laws of physics is just wrong..

I am not a trouble maker - I find this discussion fun. I hold nothing against the individuals here.
