Yes I maybe interested. Does it have a lift of 11mm or do you know the lobe length.

My engine has the smaller shim and bucket set up so I need to be sure it will fit. I know this because BMW supplied the wrong shims when doing the valve clearances. They supplied the larger shims for the CAT engine. Mine is non cat of course.

Schrick quote the engine code as M88 which appears to be the earlier engine code in the UK/Europe(1986). S38 being the later code for which you can get 280 degree (maybe this should read 282 degree)cams.

How much?
How would you send it.
Thanks for your time.

Ian

Ian,

I have Schrick 282 cams on the intake and 272 on the exhuast. That combination yields around 30 horsepower on US spec engines. A friend of mine verified these numbers on a dynometer.

I have an extra used 272 cam with less than 10,000 miles on it if you are interested.

I have been offered Schrick cams in the UK with the following spec

Duration 272 degree, 26,66,66,26
Valve lift 11.0 mm

They are said to be fairly hot accross the rev range.

I have tried to get origonal specs from BMW but with no luck whatsoever.

Does anyone know the specs for the origonal BMW cams for these engines or has anyone got 272 Schrick cams in there engines - how do they perform?

Cost is £529 for Schrick against £445 BMW

Many Thanks

Ian
