Thanks Philo!

I've printed your directions, and will tape them to the underside of the hood as I work! ;)

Pull the air box and AFM as one unit. Then open the airbox when it's out of the car. Much easier.

1) loosen clamp on AFM to Black accordian air duct, push back ducting off AFM.
2) remove 10mm nut attaching AFM to service port.
3) remove 10mm nut off stud attaching airbox to left-front fender (inner wall).
4) unplug AFM wire harness.
5) pull airbox and AFM straight up and out.

Philo.

Hi all,

How hard is it to check/change the air filter on an E28 M5? Is it easier than it looks? Any gotchas?

Thanks,
David
