Killed my tach while fixing my cluster (archive)

Hi folks,

Quick, stupid question. On a 094-type guage cluster (the one with a Lithium battery backup for the service light), there are only four cables that you need to plug in, right?

- white plug on the lower left
- one-wire gound cable behind the black plastic shield on the middle left
- yellow cable behind the gas guage and turn signals
- blue cable behind the gas guage and turn signals

The issue is this: I pulled the gauge cluster to replace the batteries for the service light indicator and change some bulbs. It had some nice effects: my gas guage reflects the amount of gas in the tank now (it used to do "full" until the last ten miles and then drop to "empty"), but the tachometer no longer works. I'm really hoping that I forgot to plug in a wire somewhere.

Any advice?

Dan
