I've been chasing a hesitation problem and while testing my TPS to make sure I have continuity at idle and WOT and noticed I do NOT continuity at WOT at all. I've probed all the pins to make sure I didn't miss anything as well. I looked in my Haynes manual (I know, this book sucks)and they talk about testing the TPS for continuity at WOT but then go on to say that the voltage should read 4.5 volts at WOT. So I'm not sure if I should see continuity or not at full throttle. Has anyone done this test.

Also, I forgot to plug the TPS lead back in and started the car the next day to go to work. I did notice the idle rpm stages to be slightly different but thought nothing of it. I drove around the block and the car did run as though nothing was wrong. Interesting, I didn't know the car would run with the TPS disconnected. What is telling the AFM to open ?? O2 Sensor ?

Philo.
