Yes, the e34 M5 came with 17"X8" et20 TS wheels. Turbine covers are also an option for these wheels and offer additional brake cooling, but IMHO they are ugly. I have e34 TS wheels with the covers removed on my car and they look/work great. The M-Police have yet to give me a citation.
As far as fit: Yes, they will fit your car, as they are et20 offset which is the same for e28's. The e28 M5 has rolled rear fenders which helps with the wider rim/tire, but I've heard they work fine without rolling the fenders... just don't carry too many people around or you'll get some rub. Also, I would guess that if you go much wider than 225 you might increase your chances of rub.
Expect to pay around $800. - $1000. for TS wheels in decent shape, more if you want perfection.

Did e28 M5 were ever sold with any other wheels than 16-inch honeycomb style?
Which M5 was fitted with "throwing star" ones? e34?
I love the look of original e28 M5 16-inch but i am so tired of cleaning them on my old 535i!!!
What is the common opinion of M-crowd. Will 17-inch "throwing star" wheels fit e28 body? Or M-Police will come and get me if i put them on?
TIA
