: : LOOK AT THE DOOR LENGTH! They appear longer than on US Bavarias. How does this compare with doors of a long-wheelbase version 3.3Li?

: : OK, So which is the correct terminology for this: E3 Coupe or E9 Sedan? A Bavaria (or E3 if you prefer) is quite distinguishable from an E21 early 3-series.

: -----------------------------------------
: Usually, if the window on a 2 dr is enclosed in part of the door frame (which remains up with the window down), it is a sedan.

: If the window is not framed (other than by something, like chrome trim for example, that goes up/down with the window) it is a coupe.

: If there is NO post with the windows down, then it is DEFINATELTY a coupe.

: My '73 E9 3.0CS is a postless coupe. My e24 "6" is a posted coupe. The pictures 2 dr Bavaria has a door frame around the front window so I would call it a sedan.
