Sorry Gus, but 5 years ago the majority of those "senior six" boys didn't know what an e-3 was either, AND in 5 years the majority will be gone. Too many of them are useless, character- assasinating thieves. And the rest of them are far too tolerant of that kind of behavior (prolly fear THEY'LL be the targets if they speak up) If you like thug-run or thug-dominated groups, go for it! To their credit though these child-like "ole boys" DO like to drink and shoot guns.

Gus Blazek (he has two names, wow, and they're real!) replies:
I would accept your complement about my level of tolerance but I really don't think you mean it.

The SSR has a membership of people who know of and own E3's. They wouldn't bother to participate otherwise. 90% of the people on the Bimmer.org boards, including those who spam to this one and to all of them, don't know or care what an E3 is.

I'll take newbie enthusiasm over crass ignorance any day. As for staying power, the future is hard to predict, but I suspect the SSR has as many lifetime devotees as any other BMW group. Probably more. The group has existed since the early 1980's, and still includes some of it's original members.
